Emmanuel Carlier started his photographic career at the age of seven. He worked (and still does) in the environnement of gallerys and art exhibitions, theaters and operas. He has been collaborating for over ten years with La Fura Dels Baus.
Perpetually in research around the concept of time, a phrase by Zagdanski "To dissociate space from time, anihilate time, settle in a time forever dead, make time die to make death die", changes his life, when Emmanuel creates "time dead", a freeze in the laps of time achieved through hundreds of still cameras. This brings him after a video clip for Sting to film and to commercials.
